Learning Express Library #3

When went into the job search and workplace skills there are some really interesting things you can choose from.  I went into Determining What You Want From Your Career. It tell you about to make goals for yourself..short term or long term, can do with work, personal or financial goals.  This is something I found intereseting - Goal Assessment

As you define your goals, think about the following questions and jot down some notes.
  • What is my goal?
  • Why do I want to achieve this goal?
  • What benefits will I receive by achieving it?
  • How will achieving the goal affect my life and the lives of those close to me?
  • Is the goal realistic—something I can achieve if I work hard and stay motivated?
  • Is the goal too broad? Does it need to be defined better or broken down into smaller and more achievable short-term goals?
  • What is the time frame or deadline for completing the goal?

Makes you think about goals and what you want to do with your life.  You even have the option to print off items and while taking the course you can submit information and it will be saved for you.  Can come back and finish at any time. I wish when I was younger we things like this available to us to help us get prepared for the workforce.

  1. I agree, Librarian Bri. A resource like this could help a student learn and focus. Thanks for your comments.
